Johannes Tappert, the inventor of the ErgoPlay guitar support Tappert, received his first guitar lessons from Gerhard Vogt in Schweinfurt and studied under Prof. Dieter Kreidler in Wuppertal and Prof. Hans-Michael Koch in Hanover.
For nine years, Tappert was a member of the Würzburger Gitarrentrio. Since then, he has been playing concerts with orchestra and string quartet, with small chamber ensembles and accompanies singers and instrumentalists. He also participated in many radio, TV and CD productions.
Johannes Tappert teaches at the Berufsfachschule für Musik Bad Königshofen. In parallel, he taught at the conservatory of Würzburg from 1981 to 1999 and as guest lecturer for instrumental pedagogics at the university of arts in Bremen from 2001 to 2006. Tappert regularly teaches seminars, acts as a jury member in competitions and is the editor of guitar literature.
