Michael Tröster developed the ErgoPlay guitar support Tröster with its two adjustable arms. With his international concert work and CD publications, Tröster has become known far beyond the borders of Germany as a concert guitar player. He started studying under Gerhard Vogt and continued his studies at the music universities in Frankfurt, Würzburg and Basel as well as under Konrad Ragossnig and Siegfried Behrend.
Tröster won many prizes in national and international competitions, such as the Deutscher Musikwettbewerb and the International Villa-Lobos competition (Milan). His concert tours around the world strengthened his international reputation.
Composers from all parts of the world dedicated new works to Tröster for his instrument. In April 1995, he performed the 1st concert for guitar and orchestra by Mexican composer Eduardo Anglo for the first time in Danzig. It was a great success.
